I love you mommy.
Which can be translated into 'its time to blog less'. right. okay.
SHERRYBABY.
Sherry Swanson returns home to New Jersey after serving a three year prison sentence. Eager to reestablish a relationship with her young daughter, and she soon discovers that coming back to the world she left behind is far more difficult than she had planned.
Haven't watched this movie and i doubt they would release it in singapore anytime this year.
I have this thing for family movies where they have so many problems to go through.
especially when its with a young pure kiddo. like when you want nothing but the best for your kid.
touches me big time.
the story may not be entirely original but I think that's a strength because it's the telling of the story through each of the characters that makes it an achievement. Seldom does a film have such strong protagonists and antagonists and allow viewers to really empathize with each.
the movie may not have a definitive ending, but i guess its more about the journey and the struggles therein, no?
i dont exactly love maggie gyllenhaal but she's like "the girl next door" type. Her choice of scripts are excellent, even in her smaller-type rolls.
and she's memorable.((:
oh, and if im not wrong. im i think im in love with robert hoffman.
which is totally irrelevant.
